When #metoomovement started, I was exhilarated. My question to myself: Is it a bubble or a meaningful movement? Should I or should I not speak #truth Well, the fact that women have decided to expose their predators, exploiters, tormentors, powerful men, politicians, decision makers; exhibits the collective failure of our laws, police system; in particular and blurred judicial redressal, unable to give protection and security to their women.
A society where women are not respected can not be peaceful or prosperous.
โSuppression and exploitation of women in Indian society is a bitter truth #metoochallenge has asumed a historic social responsibility. Although there aren't any legal consequences of this resurgent movement.
โAt the very outset it may be stated that no man or woman, wants their name or privacy to be invaded or be compromised. There's a constant fear that would your dignity be compromised? Who cares? โMy first brush of physical harassment was with two powerful journalists. At the age of 21years, (I had just finished M.Phil. from #delhiuniversity );
I was a Professor of History in #universityofdelhi Like any young lady, I too had aspirational dreams in my sparkling eyes, to make it big for myself. I was in the Ist batch of ladies to enter the portals of #StStephensCollege (post independence). This in itself is a historical event in one's life.
โ Newcomers in media are treated with impunity and disdain, even today. I wrote an article on 'Operation Blue Star:1984', which was published in a newly launched magazine, 'The Week' (เคฆเฅ เคตเฅเค). #TVRSHENOY Editor, told me to make regular contributions for 'The Week'.
Remember, it was not an internet or digital period. We had to type or write by hand. After a few articles of mine were published, TVR Shenoy, started staring luciously at me, saliva dripping from his mouth. He was touching my body inappropriately. He said, "Don't be scared, I will publish your articles, regularly." With tears in my eyes, I moved towards the cabin door, that he had latched from inside and grabbed me, pulling my 'bra strap' ... and forced kisses (#MJAkbar's style). I screamed and ran out of his cabin. Gurkirat Singh aka G.K. Singh and Vinod Sharma were reporters in 'The Week'. I drove my Fiat Padmini car, went home, stunned, shocked, without sharing it, with my family members.
โ After two days TVR Shenoy telephoned me repeatedly, to say that he wanted my articles for publication. Shameless exploiter, how dare you!Shenoy; are you an ugly molester or an Editor? I never went to 'The Week' office, at INS building, till date. Although the owners of The Week, The #MalayalamManormaGroup are #Stephanians #laalsitara That tiny cubicle of 'The Week' reminds me of TVR Shenoy's abhorrent behavior with me.
My suggestion: The editor's cabin should be made with transparent glasses, so that 'Shenoys of the media world', have some self regulation. CCTV cameras should be installed in media offices.
โ Subsequently I met G.K. Singh, who was a decent guy. He was a witness to this horrifying incident. He was genuinely shocked and saddened by this ludicrous act of TVR Shenoy. There was an emerging lobby of journalists from Kerala, who eulogised this sexual predator. TVR Shenoy, was later appointed to #RajyaSabha (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) #BJP 'Wow'! What a reward to a molester journalist, perverted fellow.
โ I was a victim of an organised slanderous, defamation campaign by #Shenoy and his cronies. I saw TVR Shenoy at #PressClubOfIndia several times. I've never forgotten this incident and forgiven TVR Shenoy, till date. He died in April 2018. One 'Dusshasan' (เคฆเฅเคถเคพเคธเคจ) gone. Did I mourn his death? Obviously not, I just smiled and felt sorry for him, and the precarious health trauma of Shenoy, leading to his death. He has taken my curses with him, in his journey to hell.

โ Friends, I took action. I moved the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi and filed a Criminal Writ Petition (Cr.W.P.) against Delhi Police and Murli Manohar Joshi. Advocate K. K. Sood appeared for M. M. Joshi.
Notices were issued by Delhi High Court. Documents, arguments, submissions were made.
Justice Anil Dev Singh was furious, but Justice R. S. Sodhi took it easy, due to pressure from #AkaliDal which was part of #NDA MEDIA WAS GAGGED, LIKE A GOVERNMENT CABBIE.
โ Subsequently, Monu Nalapat, urged me to forgive Murli Manohar Joshi. Monu, what would you have done if your wife Luxmi, met with this treatment at the hands of a 'Dusshasan - Duryodhan': Murli Manohar Joshi? I was again intimidated by a few of Joshi's lackies.
