A very mundane feeling encapsulated in layers of connotation, helps the reader derive intense pleasure: OCEAN OF LOVE By: Neelam Mahajan Singh
I received a copy of 'Ocean of Love' with a puzzling curiosity, knowing that the poetess had her own standards of love, romance and emotion that she is widely respected for. I read the book patiently and got the testimony for her deep faith in human relationships,  including those where one finds being ignored, deceived and sidelined.
Neelam doesn't have metaphors to document her passion, she prefers being direct, straight with her craft of obscure motivation. She doesn't have a diversity of subjects but the selective identification of vagaries of life's weathers describes her mastery of approach.
A very mundane feeling encapsulated in layers of connotation, helps the reader derive intense pleasure. As A. E. Houseman writes, "poetry is not the thing said but the way of saying it".
By presenting 'Ocean of Love' to her
readers, she creates a virtual pool of life's mystery for us all to dive deep. May the book be received with awe and admiration.
