𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐧𝐚, 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢, 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞

𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡 

My dear friends, my heartiest greetings to you, your family and friends on the festival of colours and happiness: Holi. Shri Krishna is neither a power nor history. Krishna is the name of a movement and that movement is easy. Krishna's path is the path of ease. A path on which anyone can walk on. There should be steady wisdom. Should we call it a highway or something else? It is difficult to understand and explain the easiness of Krishna's path. Vidyapati, Chandidas, Kabirdas, Dadu, Tulsi have mentioned this word; in understanding its meanings. Some have called this initiative as 'Sudho or straight path'. Tulsi wrote, 'Tulsi Sudhi Sakal Vidhi Raghuvar Prem Pratiti.' Abdul Rahim Khankhana said, 'Prem Path Aiso Kathi Sabse Nibhat Nahin.' Krishna is the real love. That is why he is not sad or disappointed. There is Krishna's Raas, there are games, there are celebrations, and please pay attention; there are 'wars' too. There are amazing alchemies of life, which no one has been able to touch till date.

In Braj, Banke Bihari played Holi with his devotees. Here Holi with colours and 'lathi' (baton) is played, 'Hori' is sung in Barsana. This is considered to be the dialogue

 of Radha-Krishna which is life's philosophy. The dialogue is such that it is not just words, but it becomes a rhythm. It is not just a rhythm, it transforms into a complete feeling. Indian wisdom calls it 'Rang' and the first name of the person who paints wall paintings with colours is 'Krishna'. This is why he is Mohan, Vasudev, and Govind, amongst various other names. Colour is the ritual of nature. Colour is the wave of a song. Colour is the expression of life. This is how life is expressed. 

Krishna is related to selfless love. How can this be possible in 'Holi Dahan and Rang-Parv'. What will be burnt in Holi? Why we call it Holika Dahan? Ego, sorrow, enmity is ashed. Only after this the lamp of selfless love will be lit, then only love will rain. That is why Radha's city is called 'Barsana' where there's rain of love! Where there is Radha, only love will rain. Meera sang - Ya tan ki main karun kingri, rasna naam kahungi. Meera's Prabhu Girdhar Nagar Sadha Saath rahein; i.e. once I get You, I will distribute You from village to village, wherever there is a thirst for Your name, I will pour You in the palm of that person. These are words of Krishna's love. This is not a poem, this is a day and night prayer coming from the throat. By getting close to Krishna, the color sense improves, experience falls and purity starts increasing. If the world could be improved by experience, then many people would be roaming around the world with bundle of experiences. All that happened from this is that cleverness increased and simplicity got lost. The colors of Holi take you to simplicity, to your privacy. But the markets and malls are full of cleverness, color is just the name of the art of luring or attracting.

As soon as you enter a mall, you forget in a moment which colour had called you. While passing through such a crowded market, you neither hear prayers nor temple bells, but if a tinkling of coin falls, it attracts the attention of twenty people. Krishna played Holi with 'Tesu's colours', this is saffron colour. Spring, a little yellowish. This is the colour of beginning of meditation. This is the first feeling after entering meditation and the last feeling is of blue colour. This 'blueness' (नीलिमा) is of that infinite sky. A lot of work has been done on colours in the West. An owner of American supermarket got research done on this, that selling goods in a yellow box increases sales by 20 percent and keeping them in a red box increases sales by 80 percent. This is the reason that women all over the world wear red clothes, most of the times. It has to be understood why and how Freud said, that repression is not right. Before this, only Krishna said that acceptance of all directions is necessary - passion, love, yoga, sex, and war. Krishna is unique amongst all the thinkers of the world. Krishna is a mirror, like a mirror. He does not come merely to set society or any situation right because right is also relative. What seems right to you or him may not seem right to everyone. Krishna is happy with both sorrow and happiness, there is an acceptance in which everyone is included. Jayasi wrote: The sun rose and became hot and the 'madder became Tesu'. Or the spring night vegetation and the nights all the yogis became ascetics. The sun set that night and turned red, the forest was ablaze with Tesu flowers. All the vegetation turned red in spring. This is a rain of colours in which even the earth does not differentiate. In the same way, Krishna is a rain of colours. Even today, in Vrindavan, the meaning of 'Nikunj Seva' is to collect the leaves fallen on the sand. Where only love remains, even the mind, senses, body all become love. In such a situation, love is neither an action nor a reaction. Krishna's Radha is neither a woman nor a sense organ, neither a wife nor a daughter, she is the experience of 'only love'. Krishna is said to be the knower of sixteen arts. In fact, the name of the sixteenth art is Radha. The one who has understood the color, love, is the knower of this art. Krishna is complete. He has many dimensions. Every dimension is complete. Krishna also means Black. Those who have a connection with chemistry know that black color has the power to contain every color. Black color is associated with power, dignity and authority too. Krishna is the one who opened the doors of happiness with the alchemy of colors. The joy of life is called the pain of love. Color is the name of these expressions. Happy Holi.
