Neelam Mahajan Singh is a beautiful, charming and an extremely decent personality. I've known Neelam Mahajan Singh, since her Doordarshan News days! Her husky and sensuous voice would enamor many who listened to her telecasts. The ever sublime smile on her face further enhances her personality. She spreads hope and positivity. Neelam jee is a hard working journalist, legendary television personality and a broadcaster par excellence. She's a news analyst, story-writer, poetess and a multi-faceted author. She's sympathetic, helpful and emotional in nature. Her 'no-nonsense' personality creates an awe around her. Along with poetess - writer - journalist, Neelam Mahajan Singh is a true humanitarian. Educated in the first batch of young ladies in St. Stephens College, Delhi University, a premier institution; she's a researcher - scholar.

Neelam Mahajan Singh Professor hails from an affluent background of Jammu and Kashmir. She is a committed human being and a dedicated friend. 

Neelam jee doesn't need any words of appreciation. She's one of the key journalists who struggled their way up the ladder, at a time when there were few women in TV journalism. She created a niche for herself with dedication hard work and continuous improvement in her process of learning. Neelam is kind, loving and compassionate. She's supportive of all who seek her guidance. She was editor-in-chief of Doordarshan News and Current Affairs. Her excellence in television journalism is a testimony to the fact that her programmes are shown at FTII, Pune; to the students of media studies. 

She was one of the youngest educators, a Professor of History at University of Delhi. She has always been working against the crippling systems of society. Neelam's role in empowerment of women's rights and encouragement to younger generation is apparent in her essays. She's the vox-pop and vanguard for the underprivileged and the downtrodden. Neelam is a human rights crusader and takes the legal cases 'pro-bono'. She's a believer of one-world, one-humanity, above caste, colour and creed. She is the first woman journalist to be awarded 'Krantikari Karthika', 'Veerangana' and 'Ram Manohar Lohia Award'; for her bold articles, highlighting the issues of common man! She was awarded the 'Laxmi Bai Veerangana Award' for her courage. She was honoured with ALAMI Media Group's; “SAHAFAT KA SANG E MEEL” 'Life Time Achievement Award for Excellence in TV and print media journalism'. After 40 years of her media journey, she's is energetic, although at times, she gets exasperated. 'Ocean of Love', 'Tandava: Shiva's Dance of Fury, Joy and Annihilation, 'Anteryatra', are poetry volumes by her that reflect her life's trials and tribulations. Undoubtedly, I am deeply honoured to be a traveller in her 'Journey of Life'.
