Congratulations to my dear readers on the 75th Republic Day of India, on 26.01.2024, to celebrate the implementation of the Constitution of India. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, was the chairman of its Drafting Committee. He is considered to be the chief architect of the Indian Constitution which provides a comprehensive and dynamic framework to guide and govern the country, keeping in view, 'India's unique social, cultural and religious diversity'. It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949 and came into force on 26th January 1950. Being an ex Doordarshan's senior most editor and Additional Director General of News Division, I know the significance of the 'live coverage' of this highly awaited national event, which is watched by our countrymen worldwide.
It's the day when common man feels empowered by realizing that it is the 'Antodaya' and every citizen who is protected by the Constitution of India. It's an honour that Mrs. Draupadi Murmu, is the first woman President who is the Supreme Commander of Air Force, Army and Navy, who takes the gaurd of honour. As a woman, I feel delighted, to see President Draupadi Murmu at the 'Salaami Podium'. Ofcourse the Lutyens' zone is beautifully decorated with special effect tricolur lights of Indian national flag, orange, green and white! My column is dedicated to every Indian today. As a journalist I am writing and televizing, since 35 years for the empowerment of women and equitable social justice for every Indian.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, on 19th November, 2015, notified the decision of the Government of India to celebrate 26th November as 'The Constitution Day'. It is a tradition that on every Republic Day, the Indian government invites, a foreign government's president or prime minister as a chief guest.
What is the significance of Mr. Emanuel Macron, the President of France's visit to India, as the honoured chief guest of Republic Day - 2024. France aims to have 30,000 Indian students by 2030, said the French President. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and France's President Emmanuel Macron aim to boost the academic ties between France and India.
They emphasized on the importance of India, as a partner in the Indo-Pacific region and expressed their determination to achieve this target. France will facilitate the visa process for former Indian students and launch initiatives to promote French language. Taking to his 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle, he said, "30,000 Indian students in France in 2030. It’s a very ambitious target, but I am determined to make it happen. We will achieve this with you, our young people, in exchange and cooperation, in trust, in friendship," he said (@EmmanuelMacron). France will facilitate the visa process for any former Indian students who pursued their education in the country. This launches a new pathway in order to learn French and Hindi languages in public schools with the "French for All, French for a Better Future" initiative by France.
The network of 'Alliances Francaises', which has done incredible work to promote Indo - French cultural relations for decades, will be further expanded to various cities in India. President Macron said, "coming to France means looking for excellence"! Macron shared that France has 35 universities in the QS ranking and about 15 in the 'Times' magazine's highest education ranking. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visited Paris as the chief guest for the France's National Day on July 14, 2023. As he arrived in Jaipur on January 25, where PM Modi received and gifted him a replica of 'Ayodhya's Ram Temple'. The two leaders bonded over 'Chai pe' Charcha' and held talks over further consolidating strategic cooperation in security, trade, defence and clean energy.
The induction of Rafale' into Indian Air Force (IAF) today is a pivotal turning point that has strengthened the capabilities of Indian Defense Forces. Certainly a game changer by all means, Rafale aircraft in the Indian Air Force means, India's winning a prime place among the countries that boast of superior fighting aircrafts. When compared with the air power of Pakistan and many other South Asian countries, Rafale' has lifted up India’s competence significantly. Rafale' aircrafts were flown by the Indian Air Force in the flighpast! A special band and army's contingent of France participated in the Republic Day parade. Two F16s need to combine together to counter - challenge a single /Rafale in the air. Since the American Jets have superior radar and missiles, two Su 30MKI need to be knotted to fight one of PAK F-16. In retrospect it is hoped that India would lead the comity of nations in the years to come. As for the French President, I want to say, "Je t'aime Prรฉsident Emmanuel Macron" (I love you President Emanuel Macron). India will take strident leap to keep the constitutional gaurantees of a democratic Republic. Congratulations India. Jai Hind.
