SILENCE ENDURES
(Ocean of Love)
By: Neelam M. Singh
Silence endures an agonized moment's cry
Sorrow exploits dumb silence's willing trust
Quiet patience befriends time's eternal chains
A darkening vigil
Guards the morrow now
Barbed memory stings, still drawing blood
From prying eyes to shield the singing flood
As faltering smile attempts to cheat the world
Tortured limbs embrace
Fatigue, a moment steps aside
Another smile gestures to stem the tide
In passing, callous time looks back
An indifferent glance
Yet something holds it still
Perhaps perhaps
It hears an anguished call ...
