☆  Dr. S. Muralidhar, with good wishes for empowerment  to deliver more justice to the common man. Thank you so much for being such superb humanitarian judge. Justice S. Muralidhar, reminds me of Late Justice Sunanda Bhandare, for legal knowledge and compassion towards litigants.

☆ "When justice has to triumph, it will triumph … be with the truth – justice will be done,” Justice Dr. S. Muralidhar said during his farewell speech. This has become the headline of all media channels!

☆ Justice S. Muralidhar, began practicing law in Chennai in 1984 and shifted to Delhi in 1987.

☆ Justice  Dr. S. Muralidhar, was compared to the "Kohinoor" of Justice system. Secretary of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, said at the farewell: "The Kohinoor of the High Court will be going a few 100 km away."
☆ "When justice has to triumph, it will triumph. Be with the truth - Justice will be done," Justice Muralidhar said, addressing the gathering.

☆ He told fellow judges and lawyers, that he had been informed about his transfer on February 17, by Chief Justice of India Justice S.A. Bobde. He said he had replied that if he was going to be transferred anyway, he had no problem going to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

To roaring applause, he also shared a joke that demonstrated his love for puns. "Last week, a young lawyer came and asked me - sir, do you dye? I couldn't let go of an opportunity (to pun). I said everybody has to, one day or the other...right now I am ready to take charge at the Punjab and Haryana High Court," the judge chuckled.

☆ Justice Muralidhar also admitted that Law was not his first choice. "I He was not meant to do law. I used to play cricket with the son of a lawyer and I used to leave my cricket bag in his chambers," he said.

☆ Photos of the grand farewell had social media users commenting: "This is the way real heroes are treated."

☆ "Gandhi's Principle for weakest and Ambedkar's Principle for Constitutional morality are my principles" said Justice Muralidhar.

☆ Additional Solicitor General at the Delhi High Court, Maninder Acharya said that Justice Muralidhar always displayed sensitivity towards the plight of people and his judgments depicted this. In the last 14 years, I had countless opportunities to argue matters before him. The common Petitioner blesses you."

☆ Advocate Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel for Delhi Government began his farewell speech by calling Justice Muraldhar a "supremely respected, incredibly courageous, and justice-oriented judge". He said that Justice Muralidhar's transfer was antithetical to Rule of Law and that he was one of the people amongst the legal fraternity who condemned the arbitrariness of it. Mehra added that it was the wish of the Bar that Justice Muralidhar should soon get elevated to the Supreme Court and return to Delhi.

☆ He sang the famous Bengali Song "Tumi Ekla Chaalo..." and translated it to English. "This means, means that even if no one hears your call, you walk alone.Thank you for keeping the flame on side of truth and justice alive. A thousand members of the Bar have been inspired by you", said Mehra.

☆ Delhi Bar Council Chairperson, Mr. K.C. Mittal, recalled how Justice Muraldhar came to the rescue of helpless and underprivileged sections of society. Expressing discontent over Justice Muralidhar's transfer, Mittal noted that transfer's must be discussed in order to ensure judicial credibility.

☆ Mohit Mathur, President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, in a lighter vein remarked that the counsel of Punjab & Haryana High Court must be warned, for Justice Muralidhar is a remarkable man who would never settle for the ordinary. "Counsel may enter in court, but with socks pulled up" he said.

☆ When it was his turn to speak, Justice Muralidhar remarked, "Coming to this court was an unbelievable irony."
Justice Muralidhar eventually began a law practice in Chennai in September 1984. He shifted to Delhi to practiced at the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court in 1987.
Justice Muralidhar also spoke of the Bhopal gas tragedy case, in which he had appeared as a counsel. He recounted how the issue of whether the interest on the compensation paid to victims should also have gone to victims had to be re-argued multiple times before various Benches.

The issue was put to rest after it finally came up before a Bench headed by Justice B.N. SriKrishna. He told the gathering of how,
"Within 10 minutes of matter being heard, Justice Krishna Iyer decided."

"Youngsters may have seen me irritated when they come to my court without any paper and just an appearance slip - I want juniors to come prepared and seize opportunities to argue."

As Justice Muralidhar concluded his address, he remarked,

“When justice has to triumph, it will triumph ... Be with the truth - Justice will be done."
You  are always in the heart of every person believing in #letthetruthprevail!
Hon'ble Justice Dr. S. Muralidhar, I wish Lady Justicia's powers of justice for the common man. Wishing you a happy and joyous furure! Delhi's loss, is gain of Punjab and Haryana. Good luck Sir!

☆ Rana Raj K. Singh (Solicitor & Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India) expresses his views :-

☆ The world judges you by the decisions you make: never knowing the options you were made to choose.

This unprecedented presence of lawyers for the farewell function of justice Murlidhar can best be summed up..
"Alone the judges has the power to return to you what has been snatched from you."

But don't forget we live in a country where people take seconds to judge the judges and judges take years to judge a case.

☆ Never before seen moment in Delhi High Court.

☆ Most beautiful and wonderful Post reaction by Sh. Shambhu Yadav jee from Jharkhand :-

☆ Shambhu Yadav jee, Thanks a million Sir ! I salute your persona and intellectual potential !
Your command of Hindi language is impeccable!
As for the wrongly timed transfer order of Hon'ble Justice Dr. S. Muralidhar is concerned, " the timing of midnight issuance of transfer order could have been avoided. What was the hurry "? Hon'ble Lordship Madan Lokur, of the Supreme Court of India, said in an interview on NDTV 24×7.
